The Accent Reduction Training Association (ARTA) promotes the highest standards of integrity, professionalism, and ethical conduct. Every member and certified professional is expected to uphold these principles while serving learners, organizations, and the profession.

Membership in ARTA represents more than belonging to a professional association. It is a commitment to excellence, integrity, professional responsibility, and respect for every learner. Members and certified professionals voluntarily agree to uphold the following ethical principles throughout their professional careers.
ARTA Code of Ethics
Every ARTA Member and ARTA Certified Professional agrees to uphold these professional standards.
Professional Conduct
I will conduct myself in a professional manner that reflects positively upon my character, my clients, and the Accent Reduction Training Association.
Timely Communication
I will respond to students within 48 business hours whenever reasonably possible.
Fair Business Practices
I will charge fair, ethical, and reasonable fees that accurately reflect the services I provide.
Professional Boundaries
I will maintain professional relationships with students and keep instructional content respectful and appropriate.
Student-Centered Teaching
I will give my full attention to every student’s communication goals throughout the instructional relationship.
Individual Learning Plans
I will develop and communicate an appropriate instructional plan for each learner.
Continuous Improvement
I will encourage honest student evaluations and continually improve my professional practice.
Respect Every Question
I recognize there are no bad questions. Every learner deserves patience, respect, and thoughtful guidance.
